How to use ‘Food Exchange System’ - Meal Plan Example:

1) Assess typical food intake, and calculate the necessary amount.
2) Plan a single day's meals based on treatment goals
3) Determine the exchange units from each food group.
4) The number of units is distributed based on meals.
5) Using the food exchange system, foods were selected.
6) Calculate the actual amount of food ingested.
